Mark Figueroa, Ginoong Pilipinas-USA 2007

A young aspiring model from Chicago, Illinois, Mark Figueroa, bagged the prestigious title of Ginoong Pilipinas-USA 2007. At 22, the multi-faceted guy had achieved so much in terms of his career ambition. A real estate broker and an entrepreneur, adding a title on his line-up of accomplishments did not come hard either. He bested 15 other candidates representing different US cities last Nov. 25 in a pageant held at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, California.

He was awarded as the Best in Underwear at the pageant segment sponsored by Bench. His four times-a-week workout routine proved to be all worth it when he bared his 5’11" Greek-god like body. A silent but fierce competitor, Mark has proved during the pageant that with his modeling skills, projection of charisma and confidence, he would be a breath of fresh air in the modeling world.

Mark’s answer at the final interview nailed the title for him. When he sincerely replied to the question, "What has been the toughest challenge you had in life and how do you relate that to your competition tonight?" Being raised in the suburb of Chicago with the warmth of his family, he answered that his being in a position to see his mom go through cancer is definitely a tough call and taught him to value life and every second of it, and to use that as a way of instilling courage and motivation to himself that life may be short. But to be able to embrace it and find meaning to it makes it all worth it.

Mark will soon be doing the rounds of public exposures in the US modeling mainstream and in the Philippine fashion world. His reign will be highlighted by his competition in Singapore for Mr. International 2007. He has signed up with ETalents Management in San Diego and will soon ink a representation amongst the best modeling agency in Los Angeles, New York or Manila. LINK
