John Lloyd Cruz better without Bea?

THOSE who enjoyed the team-up of John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo in "Very Special Love" will be excited to know that they have started shooting its sequel last Thursday. The tentative title is "You Change My Life," still to be directed by Cathy Molina Garcia. Judging from the warm reception given to John Lloyd when he suddenly appeared on stage at Sarah's concert at the Araneta Coliseum, her avid fans really like their tandem and it's most likely their second screen outing will be another blockbuster.

After this movie, John Lloyd will concentrate on his project with Gov. Vilma Santos and Luis Manzano. As of now, he's very happy that he has proven that the public will still accept him even if he's not paired with perennial partner Bea Alonzo. He's really luckier than Bea since when Bea was paired with Piolo Pascual in "Dream Boy," its box office take was not as impressive as "A Very Special Love." We hope Bea's next project without John Lloyd, tentatively titled "And I Love You So" and which pairs her with Sam Milby for the first time, will be more warmly received by viewers.

"And I Love You So" will be directed by Lauren Dyogi who first directed Bea and John Lloyd in the hit romantic comedy "Now That I Have You". This will be one of Star Cinema's major offerings in 2009 along with "Land Down Under" starring Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin megged by Rory Quintos, the horror flick "T2" starring Maricel Soriano megged by Chito Rono, and "A Mother's Story" starring Vilma Santos megged by Olive Lamasan.
