John Lloyd, Liz Uy are still together

Actor John Lloyd Cruz has finally ended speculations that he and his non-celebrity girlfriend, stylist Liz Uy, had already parted ways.

In an interview during the press conference of his upcoming movie “You Changed My Life,” Cruz denied the rumors that he and Uy had ended their relationship after three years of being together.

Cruz said Uy still makes him happy every single day.

“I will describe her just the same. Every morning nagiging masaya ang feeling [ko],” he said.

Cruz admitted that he and Uy were not able to celebrate Valentine’s Day together because the latter was in Hong Kong with her friends while he had to go to work.

He, however, said that he is planning a post-Valentine’s date with Uy.

Late last year, reports about their alleged split up came out. The reports surfaced amid rumors romantically linking Cruz to Malaysian actress Carmen Soo, who starred in a Filipino television series "Kahit Isang Saglit."

Cruz and Soo were seen together in a restaurant but the two stars said the meeting was “coincidental” and that they were with their respective friends.

The speculations about the split-up, however, refused to die down. In a family gathering, Cruz was reportedly seen lonely. Reports said Cruz and Uy were having problems then.

In addition, reports said Cruz and Uy were trying to fix things between them.

Cruz admitted that one of the challenges in their relationship is time for each other given his busy schedules.

Currently, Cruz is busy promoting “You Changed My Life,” a sequel to box-office hit “A Very Special Love.” The film is produced by Star Cinema and will be shown on February 25.
