Ruffa Gutierrez: No conflict between Mikaela, Belo endorsements
Actress Ruffa Gutierrez has clarified that her endorsement for beauty clinic Philosophy by Mikaela Salon and Spa would not conflict with her contract with the dermatology and cosmetic surgery provider Belo Medical Group.
Gutierrez told ABS-CBN News that there is no reason for Dr. Vicki Belo to be angry over her latest endorsement.
“I would like to clear that my endorsement for Mikaela is a hair salon, so, salon services, meaning blow dry, manicure, pedicure, eyelash extension… wala namang hair salon sina Dr. Belo so wala naman conflict,” she said.
She added that she remains an endorser of the Belo clinic.
Her contract with Mikaela is the latest in her strings of endorsements. Other Mikaela celebrity endorsers are Pops Fernandez and Rufa Mae Quinto.
“For endorsements, I have to be careful. pagdating sa [skin whitening], Met [Thatione]; body and sliming, Dr. Vicki Belo; for my beautiful hair, lashes and nails meron akong Mikaela,” she said.
She added in jest: “It just so happened that a lot of people want to hire my service.”
Gutierrez is the host of the upcoming morning show on ABS-CBN, “Ruffa and Ai.” Its pilot episode will air on Monday.
Gutierrez’s show will directly compete with the morning program of close friend Carmina Villaroel in another network. The actress, however, was quick to say that Villaroel is happy for her.
“Carmina wished me luck. She congratulated me. Sa hirap ng buhay ngayon, let’s just be happy na may trabaho tayo,” Gutierrez said.
