John Lloyd Cruz shuns ‘No.1’ actor tag
Amid the success of his movies and television series and string of endorsements, actor John Lloyd Cruz is on “cloud nine” these days but he also admitted that he is also at the point of his career when it is at its “hardest.”
Cruz confessed to the “The Buzz” that he feels uncomfortable whenever people would tell him that he is now the No. 1 actor.
“It scares me.
And if you’re No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, hindi importante ‘yon,” he added.
Cruz and Sarah Geronimo’s “You Changed My Life,” a sequel to box-office hit “A Very Special Love,” is still breaking records in terms of ticket sales. The actor also plays Armando in the hugely popular “I Love Betty La Fea.”
The actor has also appeared in numerous commercials.
I’m not saying that I never wanted to be here. At kung nasaan man ako [ngayon], masaya ako,” he said.
