Rhap Salazar, sails on

Last year, he appeared in a movie with Robin Padilla and Ai-Ai de las Alas.

Nakasama si Rhap ng ilang fellow singing champs sa ilang albums, gaya ng Paalam, Maraming Salamat President Cory Aquino: A Memorial Tribute at We are I (Kris Aquino and Baby James) ng Star Records.

Very recently, he came out with his self-titled album na mabibili na sa iba’t ibang record bars.

Gumawa ng history of sorts si Rhap nang manalong Junior Grand Champion Solo Vocalist of the World at Junior Grand Performer of the World sa prestigious World Championship of the Performing Arts (WCOPA) in Hollywood.

But the staff of Ellen advised him to sing All By Myself instead.

But the winners appreciate this na rin.

Rhap’s Ate Charice (Pempengco) shouldered his pamasahe papuntang Hollywood for the WCOPA. Charice is now making a name as a recording star sa Amerika. It was Sharon Cuneta naman who financed his dad’s trip.

Si Kitche Benedicto, Rhap’s personal manager, ay ginastusan ang sarili for the trip.

For his guesting in Ellen, it was Ellen’s production that shouldered not just his travel expenses but that of his mom’s and Tita Kitchie’s, too.

It also had their group billeted sa Universal Sheraton and were nice enough na ipasyal sina Rhap sa Universal Studios.

Nakapunta rin daw sila ng Disneyland, pero on their own gastos.

Bagama’t Rhap has his Tita Kitchie for personal manager, he remains under the management ng Star Records, recording arm ng ABS-CBN.
