Star Power finalist agreed to be Kris' ghost singer

AT the presscon of the Star Power Final 5, showbiz writers were given the power na mamili kung sino sa tingin nila ang mananalo bilang Sharon Cuneta’s Next Female Pop Superstar.

Pero sabi nga ni Cris Belen, entertainment editor of a popular broadsheet, in any kind of contest naman, only one must win.

He chose to leave the ‘tie’ that way.

Kung sabagay, both of the contestants are deserving.

K-La, who hails from Canada, goes for R&B music, while Angeline naman is a pop belter.

K-La has a foreigner-dad. Romanian ang tatay niya. Her mom naman is from Pampanga.

Mahilig daw talaga siyang kumanta at pangarap niyang maging international singer.

She learned about the Star Power search by watching ABS-CBN shows sa TFC (The Filipino Channel).

Nagtatrabaho si K-La sa Canada.

Sinikap niya talagang makaipon from her earnings para sa mga gastusing alam niyang kanyang mai-incur kapag sumali siya sa Star Power.

No one among her immediate family members ay narito sa Pilipinas.

Basta, either she loses or wins, ang unang gagawin daw niya ay bumalik agad sa Calgary to pay her parents a visit.

She is sure that they miss her, too.

HAWIG naman si Angeline ni Kris Aquino. And she wouldn’t mind, she says, playing the actress-TV host’s body double in a movie or a TV show.

“But I feel honored na maging kamukha o kahawig niya.”

As for the prize money that she may win sakaling palarin, ang gusto raw niya ay mag-organize ng party for her fans and followers who are just too eager to make her win.

She will also make sure raw na karapat-dapat nga talaga siyang manalo.

THE other finalists are Krissel Valdez, who is from Davao; Akiko Solon from Cebu; and Monica Sakay from Leyte.

Si Krissel ang pinakaiyakin sa limang finalists. Pinaka-prayerful din siya among them.

Akiko, meanwhile, said na manalo man siya o matalo, feeling niya ay winner na rin siya having made it to the top five.

A veteran of singing competitions, natutunan na raw niyang hindi sa lahat ng pagkakataon ay mananalo ka.

Puwede ka rin daw matalo.
