Riza Santos as Miss World Canada

Kaibigan Lang Lyrics and Music Video

Here’s the lyrics of Kaibigan Lang by Young JV:

Hindi mo man sabihin
Aking napapansin
Na ika’y sa’kin may pagtingin

Ang iyong bawat galaw
Kapag sumasayaw
Parang ayaw nang bumitaw

REFRAIN:
Oooh…
Sasabihin ko na ba?
Oooh…
Baka ikaw ay magtaka
Oooh…
Bahala na
Oooh…
Aaminin ko na
Kaibigan lang (4x)

Ngayong alam mo na
Ang nasa puso ko
Sana’y walang magbago

Ating pagkakaibigan
Ay magpatuloy pa
Sa hirap man o ginhawa

(REPEAT REFRAIN)
Kaibigan lang (4x)

Gusto kang makasama
Mula gabi hanggang umaga

Sarah Geronimo’s All-Filipino Album

Filipino music can use all the help it can get in these dire times so I am happy to note that Sarah Geronimo’s latest album, One Heart is made up of old and new works by local composers. Although she made her mark with Forever’s Not Enough by Vehnee Saturno seven years ago, Sarah did fall prey to the lure of foreign covers in her later recordings, as in I Wanna Know What Love Is and Right Here Waiting plus those themes from her blockbuster movies, like A Very Special Love and You Changed My Life In A Moment.

So it truly gladdens the heart that, Sarah, who is one of the country’s top hitmakers today has gone back, not only to Saturno songs but to other original Filipino compositions as well. Maybe because there is something uniquely Filipino about our music that although we are guilty of often preferring what is selling in the U.S. of A., we also hold on like mad to songs that touch the Filipino soul. That is why Sarah’s biggest seller to date, is still Forever’s Not Enough and it is the one hit she will always be identified with all her life. Let us see if fans will find lots of the same in the songs of One Heart.

Vehnee, who also did Be My Lady for Martin Nievera, Isang Lahi for Regine Velasquez, Sana Kahit Minsan for Ariel Rivera, Only Me And You for Donna Cruz and other hits, dominates Sarah’s line-up. He wrote and produced six songs, all done in his sure hit style. These include the first two single releases, Sino Nga Ba Siya and Kung Siya Ang Mahal and the title cut, One Heart. There are also the Vehnee hits covers, Nag-iisang Ikaw, first recorded by Louie Heredia and Bakit Pa Ba? that he composed for Jay R and then there is the new showstopping original Within that singing contestants will surely adore.

I am tempted to say I am sad that there is one non-OPM entry in the CD. This is bonus track, Fallin’, the Marvin Hamlish/ Carol Bayer song from the musical They’re Playing Our Song. But it’s a nice tune and was used as the theme of the movie Catch Me… I’m In Love, which starred Sarah and Gerard Anderson. So let us forgive that and check out the other Fallin’, that Sarah sings beautifully. This one was written and was originally a hit by Janno Gibbs who, I must add, is a very good composer and should write more songs.

Also included in One Heart are Sa Isip Ko, a cover of the Agot Isidro hit composed by Dennis Garcia of Hotdog; If You Could Read My Mind by Christian Martinez; I Miss You by Louie Ocampo; Bata, a duet with Kean Cipriano of CallaLily; More Than You’d Believe, written and produced by Tito Cayamanda; Handang Umibig Muli written and produced by Marcus Davis; and Ikaw, a duet with Concert King Martin Nievera of the Louie Ocampo/George Canseco classic.

Speaking of Martin, he and Sarah are getting ready to bring their hugely successful What Love Is show on tour around the country and abroad. First stops here will be at the Central Philippine University in Iloilo City on July 15 followed by the Waterfront Hotel in Lahug, Cebu City on July 15. Now for those who want something that happens sooner, you can catch Sarah perform songs from One Heart and her other hits at the Glorietta in Makati on the afternoon of Sunday May 22.

And speaking of Dennis Garcia and the Hotdogs and a big boost for OPM, the Manila Sound band’s reunion concert last Monday evening at the Dusit Ballroom turned out to be the hot event of the year. Not only because our bachelor President came with a date; not only because the hall was packed; not only because Dennis looked well and played again after many years; but also because, Hotdogs music — think Pers Lab, Panaginip, Ikaw Ang Miss Universe Ng Buhay Ko, Bongga Ka Day, and other songs — is still as fresh and enjoyable after nearly 40 years. Congratulations guys. Maybe it is about time for a new album.

Four times a week talaga nagba-bike, three times nagko-core, something cross training, and swimming. So three different physical activities para pumayat, happy talaga at good na nag-e-enjoy siya talaga,” kuwento pa ni Kris.

In a TV interview, Sharon will share the physical and emotional pains of people who are regarded by society as fat, obese and heavy.

“Unfortunately, society judges you according to your physical appearance. It’s not really according to your abilities and your talents. Minsan kahit it’s very unfair, it’s a reality,” she explained.

There is also Lorie, 33, who can’t bear a child because of excessive fat in her body. Forty-year-old Rowena, meanwhile, is a mom but can’t attend her children’s graduation in fear that they will be teased by their classmates because of her.

Toni Gonzaga Explains Snubbing Issue

Gerald Anderson says he wants to be professional with his leading ladies

Gerald Anderson proved that he has what it takes to be the next leading man with his convincing portrayal in the film Catch Me… I’m In Love, where he starred opposite Sarah Geronimo. Gerald earned positive feedback from viewers and critics alike for the movie.

However, many wondered that in spite of their evident chemistry and having become friends when they did the movie, the two never exchanged contact numbers. Gerald justified that they both wanted to be professional and continued that he and Sarah always talk whenever they bump into each other. Besides, Gerald said that it was their first time to work together and he is happy that he became friends with the Pop Princess.

When Push.com.ph asked Gerald if his reluctance was the result of what happened to him and former leading lady Kim Chiu, he replied, “’Di naman. Para sa akin trabaho, eh. Gusto kong maging professional.

Gerald also clarified that he is currently single but happy because of his successful career. He added that he is not closing his doors on a possible love-life but it will come at the proper time for it.

The actor also said that he and Kim are still very good friends. Gerald added that he is very thankful that they were able to preserve the friendship in spite of the controversies.

While Gerald confirmed that he and Kim recently had dinner together, he did not go into details. It’s a friendly dinner para sa birthday niya,” he said.

He also said that he is open to working with Bea Alonzo, who was previously romantically linked to him. “Kung maganda ‘yung proyekto bakit hindi? Trabaho din ‘yon,” he reasoned and added that he is not bothered if it would result to controversies because it is bound to happen regardless who his leading lady is.

Gerald Anderson Misses Jewel Mische

“Ibang leading lady, ibang story.

“First time namin to work with Direk Mae para sa pelikula. It’s a privilege for us. We’re so excited because bago sa amin itong tatlo.

“First time kong gagawa ng romantic comedy. Ayun!

Kim Chiu puts lovelife 'on hold'

When it comes to affairs of the heart, Kim Chiu doesn’t exactly say what she truly feels. She’ll either give vague answers or divert the topic to other concerns especially if the issue has something to do with Gerald Anderson — until recently when she appeared before the members of the entertainment press for a post-birthday lunch-cum-presscon. She turned 21 last April 19.

Aside from talking about her US trip and the charity institution she chose to share her blessings with, Kim put all speculations to rest about whether she and Gerald have reconciled while they were in the US with other Kapamilya stars for the Star Magic Tour. The two were romantically linked on- and off-cam and rumored to have separated ways months ago.

“Even I was surprised when I learned about that news,” said Kim. “Yes, we went out for dinner but it wasn’t planned. Nagkita lang kami, at parang, ‘Uy ‘lika dinner tayo,’ ganun lang.”

Kim added she’s happy that they had the chance to talk and spend some time together. “With our busy schedules, it’s impossible for us to meet and talk here (in Manila). So after that dinner, it’s like everything went back to normal, we are friends again, wala ng ilangan.”

In fact, Gerald gifted her with a cookware set when she had her post-birthday celebration in the newly-built house where she and her family just recently moved into.

Is there a chance for her and Gerald to get back together again?

“Ayoko muna ng lovelife. I’m happy being single because I get to meet a lot of people. For now, I just want to explore on my own. Who knows, I might find a boyfriend next year.”

Asked if she has become choosy when it comes to finding love, Kim replied, “It’s not that I’m choosy, I’m more careful now, ayoko nang masaktan; masakit e.”

While in the US, Kim also bonded with Maja Salvador and Angelica Panganiban after their series of shows. She even posed for magazines alongside 90210 star Matt Lanter.

Meanwhile, Kim never forgets to visit one charity institution as part of her birthday celebration. Last week, she visited Grace To Be Born Shelter which takes care of unwed mothers and abandoned babies. She brought milk and other supplies for moms and children.

“Actually, we researched which charity institution that is not given enough support. Grace To Be Born receives little supply and the least visited. Naisip ko, sila na lang kasi kawawa naman sila,” offered Kim, who plans to take up business management in college.

Soon, televiewers will see Kim in the soap Binondo Girl with Xian Lim, Matteo Guidicelli and Jolo Revilla.

Pokwang Very Happy

Angel Locsin proud ABS-CBN turns her into 'real actress'

Say naman ni Direk Oli-via: “I’m so proud of them. We did this movie for more than a year. Grabe ’yung pinagdaanan naming difficulties. But at the end, I’m so fulfilled and I’m so happy and proud of the performances, kung paano sila nag-evolve as actors. Ma-talino silang artista.”

Reunion movie rin nina Direk Lamasan at Aga ang In the Name of Love.

“Every time we’d see each other, we’d always talk about it. Kung kailan uli kami magkakatrabaho. Finally, eto, nagkatrabaho na uli kami. So, with this movie with Olive and the story, sabi ko perfect talaga. Not knowing na ito ang isang pelikulang sasabihin ko talaga na pinakamahirap kong ginawa -- physically, emotionally, lahat -- because of the bigness of this movie.

“I’ve done movies for Star Cinema.

Dito nag-grow ako as an actress ta-laga. Dito, mas minahal ko ang trabaho ko and I’m very proud na isinama nila ako dito sa In The Name of Love.”

“I have probably done something right to be a part of this movie.

Kaya naman pangako nina Aga, Angel at Jake, lahat daw gagawin nila In The Name of Love para sa mga taong nagmamahal sa kanila.

May premiere night pelikula on May 10 sa SM Megamall, with regular showing on May 11, sa lahat ng sinehan, nationwide.

Baby James Nagkasakit

Trabaho agad ang hinarap ni Kris after her vacation with her sons, tutal nakapag-bonding naman sila.
